'The noise is relentless. I have now burned out a window fan and am working on my second one that I run constantly in my bedroom window to mask the noise. The 'sound' even comes in when all windows are closed. I have absolutely no idea what I will do when I have to close the house up soon for the fall and turn that fan off. Because of this violation of my auditory space, I have had the expense of a new window fan as well as countless hours of electrical energy to run it in my window that I can little afford. Additionally, as a musician, it is a disruption to my musical thought process at times - since I am highly auditory in nature. I don't know what will come of this, but I congratulate your efforts. Introduction: Brian Kradjian is the CEO. He is the one who signed the expansion application that Bates Troy now wishes to violate.
Unethical Behavior: Brian Kradjian told the City of Binghamton several lies that formed the basis for their decision to grant Bates Troy permission to expand an industrial dry-cleaning plant into a high-density residential area. As you can see from the below excerpt from Bates Troy's Expansion Permit Application, Bates Troy promised the City of Binghamton that they would only operate between 6AM and 6PM, Monday to Friday and that they would only receive deliveries 6AM to 6PM, Monday to Friday. The form was signed by Brian Kradjian. But now, Bates Troy wants to run whenever they'd like and to receive deliveries whenever they'd like. At the moment, Bates Troy is daily violating the agreement they made with the City of Binghamton.
But there is a solution: the City of Binghamton has the power to revoke Bates Troy's expansion permit because of these intentional lies!
Who Are We
We are Bates Troy Noisy Neighbor, a neighborhood organization of families concerned about the noise pollution produced by the Bates Troy Healthcare Linens dry-cleaning plant located at 151 Laurel Ave in Binghamton, NY 13905.
We are engaged in a campaign to bring attention to our community that is suffering under an onslaught of illegal annoying noises. We believe that the Zoning Board of Appeals made a negligent decision in allowing an industrial dry-cleaning plant to expand into a high-density residential area.
What You Can Do
There is only one solution to the Bates Troy noise problem: the City of Binghamton must enforce their preexisting laws. We are currently circulating a petition and we encourage you to sign it. At the moment, our only hope of restoring the quiet is this petition.
